Dean Appoints Social Responsibility Ad-Hoc Committee
To continue and enhance the school’s social responsibility mission, the Dean created an ad hoc committee. Four faculty (Terri Albert and Deb Kidder from the Marketing and Management Department; Steven Thompson and Michelle Bertolini from Accounting) are developing the structure and initial focus for the committee. Three components define the mission’s social responsibility: sustainability/environment; civic engagement and social justice. Faculty have been surveyed for their participation in each of these areas. Two early internal initiatives will be setting up recycling containers on every floor in the building and a paper reduction program. As an ad-hoc committee, all meetings are open to the faculty. The first open meeting will be scheduled for early November (final date pending).
